We are 4 hours drive from Johannesburg and are situated on the N14 to the Kalahari & Namibia. What to See: Leon Taljaard Nature Reserve - This reserve is home to all common buck and plain game. The reserve is 3 000 ha in size and is situated on the main road to Tosca and Ganyesa. Old Prison Wall & Museum - A wall of the old prison that was used during the Anglo Boer War is still visible at the entrance to the town on the Kuruman road. A commemoration plaque to the rebels who died in the windmill gallows is on the old prison wall. The museum is currently closed due to restoration and renovation. Call on the Naledi Local Council for more information on visiting hours. Voortrekker Monument - Erected in commemoration of the Great Trek of 1935. This monument can be seen on the Kuruman road outside of Vryburg. Police Station - Vryburg?s first police station was opened in 1875. This national monument can be seen in Vry Street. This building has been fully restored and modernized into a guesthouse called ?Die Kliphuisie?. Kinderdam Rock Engravings - These fabulous records of life thousands of years ago can be seen about halfway between Vryburg and Madibogo. Tiger Kloof -Established as a stone church in 1904 by the London Missionary Society. Tiger Kloof today is a national monument and has been restored as an educational institute.Consentration Camp Cemetry - A cemetery for those who died during the Anglo Boer War was erected. The memorial was erected on April 6, 1929. The site can be visited any time of day and is situated in Hartbees Road.
