The farm is run and applies the principles of permaculture. The diverse inclusion of trees, herbs, plants and grasses that grow together, encourage the natural eco systems of nature, to co- exist without the harmful use of chemicals.We offer SELF CATERING, FULL EQUIPPED Studio units and 1-3 bedroom houses. Each house is privately positioned amidst the natural bush of the Magaliesberg, offering privacy and comfort. Sliding doors lead out from all the rooms onto the patios, giving panoramic views of the valley and the majestic cliffs of the Magaliesberg mountain range. The Studios are back to back units.
Sunsets are brilliantly viewed from the pool or balcony areas, and starry night skies create ambience during braai time. The dwelling area on the farm is all secured with electric fencing.
There is a natural water pool with lapa within an established garden, overlooking wonderful views and a DSTV guest room at the farmhouse. Nature walks on the farm are to be enjoyed, with abundant bird life viewing. Small wild life is spotted when nature allows. A camera is a must, to share this with your loved ones!
As the owners of Thirsty Falls, we enjoy sharing our farm in its beautiful surrounds, for anyone needing to reconnect with nature and be a part of it!
This is a retreat for adults ; we do not have facilities for children under 14. No noise is allowed as the farm lies within the Protected Magaliesberg Nature Reserve.
