Blue Cottages Country House is situated at the foot of the Drakensburg mountains about 20 mins from Hoedspruit and 45 mins from the Kruger National Park, at the heart of 'big five''country. Blue Cottages is also ideally situated for access to the Blyde River Canyon.

Set in the grounds of a luscious citrus and mango farm we have a range of accommodation including a number of traditional African Rondavels, which are idyllic thatched cottages. All of our Rondavels look out over the beautifully mature gardens.

Blue Cottages

Set in a four-acre tropical garden, with a magnificent Drakensberg escarpment backdrop, Blue Cottages offers delightfully quaint accommodation in six individual cottages (including self catering and family options).

The main house comprises the original farm manager's cottage built in 1948, by Captain Drury, on the pioneering Olifants River Estate.The original lampposts imported especially by Drury from London, can still be seen on the road leading to Blue Cottages.

The main farmhouse is next to Monsoon Gallery & Mad Dogz Cafe, which is forms part of the Blue Cottages.

The stunning Blyde River Canyon route is nearby, as are opportunities for rafting, hiking and bird watching,hot-air balloon rides and game viewing drive
