Whale Coast Lodge is a luxury child friendly home where children have space to play. It is a self-catering establishment with four en-suite roomsHermanus and all its beauty offers the worlds best land based whale watching, this is made possible by the 12 km cliff path that stretches accross the Hermanus coastline. It allows whale watchers to enjoy countless hours of whale watching action.
In some areas its possible for whale watchers to come as close as 20 meters from the whales enjoying the waves in the coves bellow. Benches all along the path make for a comfortable resting or whale watching spot.
Whales can be seen all year round but peak in October, but can still be seen in November throughout December. Due to mating and calving the whales arrive from May to breed in shallow waters. The Souther Right Whale is our most spotted visiter but other species do make a appearance from time to time. Humpback whales migrate through our waters from May to December. Sightings of killer whales have been made and dolphins like the Heaviside dolphin, Bottlenose dolphin and Common dolphin.

Whale Coast Lodge is a luxury child friendly home where children have space to play. It is a self-catering establishment with four en-suite rooms, fully equipped communal kitchen and a cosy fire place with flat screen TV in the lounge. The Lodge has a braai area outside as well as a splash pool for those hot days. The Lodge is serviced every day and clean towels and linen are provided. A camping cot is available on request for babies under age 3. Wood, firelighters and matches are available for purchase on the premises. The mini tuck shop will have most necessities.
We do have Wi-Fi.
