Hotel Description

Great Brak is centrally situated in the Garden Route, halfway between George and Mossel Bay. There are two parts to the town, the small village itself nestles in a valley surrounded by wooded hills, and consists of a single horseshoe road from which you can access everything you would need.

The village has a basic supply store, several butcheries and some utterly charming lunch and tea venues, some displaying locally produced artworks and clothing. Great Brak is the centre of art in the Garden Route and there are four art galleries and an art school. Beautiful hikes and cycling trails abound, and of course one can take a canoe up the Great Brak River which flows through the town.

The house has fantastic river frontage, is out of the wind, relaxing and peaceful.
