Tsitsikamma National Park is an area of the Garden Route National Park, on South Africa’s southern coast. It encompasses a marine reserve, deep gorges and local vegetation like the Big Tree, a towering yellowwood. The Mouth Trail crosses a suspension bridge over Storms River. The Otter Trail leads to Nature’s Valley, with birds including the Cape batis. The park is also home to small mammals, including bush pigs.Landscapes naturally constructed from the butting together of impressive shoreline and beach conditions, and gorgeous canopied landscapes of lush green trees, are the setting for the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp an eighty kilometer stretch of rock spattered, shoreside rest and relaxation. Partial home to the forty-two kilometer Otter Trail, Storms River sets guests on the trail of exciting marine, river and forest foot adventures, amidst the magical atmosphere of the Tsitsikamma National Park.
Accommodation at Storms River Mouth rest camp is available at ninety individual camping sites, all with communal ablution, laundry and washing-up facilities, as well as selected electricity points. Forest huts are furnished with single bedrooms and communal kitchens and ablutions.
Oceanette units are also available, with bedroom options of either three or four single beds, open plan living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. A further eighteen open plan chalets are available for accommodation, with kitchens, open plan living areas, and double sleeper couches in the lounges. The family cottages boast two bedrooms each, as well as kitchens, and bathrooms.
The popular Storms River Mouth rest camp Honeymoon Cottages are standalone units, with one double bed each, kitchens, and bathrooms.
