Bloomestate is a 6.5-acre eco-friendly refuge, balancing sylish decor and contemporary architecture with open, natural spaces. Bloomestate's breakfasts have become a little famous - with interesting dishes inspired by our worldwide guests that meet the highest culinary standards.
On request guests can order lunch or small platters to share at any one of the relaxing spots on the estate.
Nestled in the foothills of the Overberg mountains on the fringe of the historic town Swellendam, bloomestate is the ideal base from which to experience the region's highlights: whale-watching on the Indian Ocean, wine-sipping in the estates of the Robertson Wine Valley, wandering the trails of the Langeberg Mountain range, communing with the wildlife of the Marloth, the Bontebok National Park and De Hoop Nature reserve.
Within strolling distance there are two restaurants, with lovely open terraces and in town there is a choice of local and international, high standard restaurants.
To help sustain both the estate and the surrounding natural beauty, we strive to use as many locally-made or Fair Trade products as possible. We serve local fruits and organic veg, use energy-efficient lighting, and scrub with earth-friendly cleaning products. The hot water is solar- heated and the waste is composted. Imbedded in the community, we also take great pride in supporting local initiatives such as the Swellendam Bursary Fund.

Set on 6.5 wooded acres in a contemporary white structure, this trendy guesthouse is 3.4 km from the Drostdy Museum, 8.7 km from Bontebok National Park and 36.6 km from the Tradouw Pass.
The chic, colourful rooms feature TVs, iPod docks and heated floors, plus free perks such as WiFi and hot beverages. Most rooms open on to the central garden and offer mountain views.
