The various units are located between 25 m and 5 km from one another, offering a tranquil escape.Each of the units at Rockwood Lodges boast a well-equipped kitchen, which can be stocked up on advance request. A private chef can also be arranged. Toiletries are provided in the bathrooms for your comfort. Each of the solar-powered units has a patio with an outdoor dining area.
There is a children's playground near the farmhouse and cottage. The area is popular for mountain biking, hiking, fishing and swimming in natural pools.
Howick is 24 km from Rockwood Lodges, while Pietermaritzburg is 50 km away. A helicopter transfer from Durban can be arranged.

Rockwood Mountain Lodge (about a 20 min drive from Rockwood Forest Lodge and about a 10 minute drive to the start of the Karkloof Canopy Tours) is located on the edge of a natural clearing in the forest. Due to its remote location, this eco-friendly lodge makes use of solar power for lighting and gas for all other requirements.
