Each unit has exclusive use of a 1.5 km stretch of river. The river is regularly stocked with Rainbow Trout and the river banks are well-maintained to offer easy access for fishermen.

Guests are able to walk along the river and the surrounding roads and trails. Bird-watching is popular in the area, while day trips to Dullstroom, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Sudwala Caves and Pilgrim's Rest are also possible.

Each of the villas at Rivendell consist of 4 en suite bedrooms, a spacious open-plan living area with a large fireplace and a furnished deck with barbecue facilities. The kitchen is fully-equipped, including a coffee machine and a dishwasher.
