Hotel Description
Each night the solar powered units power is turned off between 21:30 - 22:00 depending on battery reserves. We request that all guests bring battery powered lights for late nights. The solar powered units power comes on again around 07:00 or earlier depending on the sun. On over cast days where there is no sun, we can run a generator if needed. We prefer however to try stay away from fossil fuels if possible. So just remember to be as sparing as possible when using the power.Come talk to us and we can give you a tour on the Solar Power System and show you how it works. :-) The units are also equipped with a terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a seating area, and a private bathroom. A microwave, a toaster and fridge are also available.
Please remember that the units that are not on Solar power will be affected by the Municipal Eskom Electrical Load Shedding Schedule. Contact us for details on the load shedding schedule. A generator is not supplied to these units.
The country house offers a barbecue & Swimming Pool right on the River.
If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings. We also offer River Rafting & Hiking.
Koppies Dam Nature Reserve is 46 km from Otters' Haunt Eco Retreat, while Otavi Wildlife Sanctuary is 12 km from the property.
